Josh and Jess' shower/UFC 100/Rockband

This past weekend we had a good ol' time. We had Jess' and Josh's surprise shower, UFC 100 and we played Rockband. Jess' shower was Snoopy themed since she absolutley loves Snoopy. She is already having 2 other showers so this shower was just with our family which was perfect. We kept it really simple. I made spagetti with rolls and pineapple on the side and Jen made cookies and brownie cupcakes and my mom made tamas. I was going to make the cake but it is crazy insane expensive for a Snoopy cake pan ($50 whopping bucks!). So I ordered one from Albertsons instead. Which originally I was bummed about because homemade cake is so much better but this cake turned out soooo yummy! It was white cake with fresh strawberries for the filling and whipped cream for the frosting and it was really cute. Josh and Jess were perfectly on time. Only problem is she had to pee really bad so the first thing she said was " Oh I have to pee". Luckily she made it to the bathroom o.k. She was very happy with the shower which made all of us happy. Andrew and Brandon had a blast of course. The ballons kept them busy for most of the day. They also "jumped boom" on the bed and played Rockband by helping us with the tamberines. Speaking of Rockband one of the best parts of the night was my dad singing "Bad to the Bone" with Ian's cowboy hat on and an IBC in his hand..looking like a crazy drunk cowboy. We also played some baby shower games. We played the baby memory game where you have to memorize as many baby items on a tray as possible. And also the baby food game. My favorite...since I got to see the funniest expressions from my brothers. Josh thought the chicken baby food tasted like dogfood. And at the end of the night Andrew and Brandon insisted on taking a bath. Then there's UFC 100. All in all it was an o.k pay per view. I was really hoping Frank Mir would take the win and beat the crap out of Lesnar but that didn't happen. On the plus side even though he got his face beat in his midsection did look pretty sweet. He came in much better shape this time. Poor Ian though..he's still pretty bummed out. The only fight that saved it for me was the Bisping vs. Henderson fight. That knock out made me happy and it was well deserved. Well I'm going back to Muay Thai tonight so pray for me. I haven't been for about a year.Pan's gonna kick my butt tonight. But I'm looking forward to it:)

Jess' shower and Buggie's 1st beach day

Last weekend I went to Ventura for my sister in law's baby shower that her Grandma threw for her. Little does she know that Jen and I are throwing her a surprise shower on the 11th. So stay tuned for pics after the shower. Anyway, the shower was pretty fun. We played a couple games, had some good food and Jess opened her gifts. Its pretty funny because after all these years of Jess being in our family we finally got to meet some of her family. Her Grandma is what we were calling a Mexican Palauan. Meaning she is Mexican but reminds me so much of a Palauan. Basically she tells it like it is and when you try to go home she tries to send all the food home with you. Here is a pic of Jess opening one of our gifts to her. It was also exciting to see her cute growing belly. We ended up staying the night because I get pooped too easily right now with the drive there and nursing all day. And the next day I was super stoked because we got to go to the beach and it was a first of many beach days for Lilybug. She pretty much chilled on the beach and slept the whole time which was fine with me because I got to go for a swim. Sweet! Always sad to leave the ocean though. Man! I need an ocean in my backyard!

Well for Father's day we went to church, came home napped for a little bit then visited both of our families. Here are some cute pics of Grampi and Daddy with Lilybug. Oceanbaby's baby is here! And already 3 weeks old!

Sorry it took so long to post this wonderful news, but we've been busy! On May 9th we had a wonderful home birth. Not only was it a home birth, but a water birth! Oceanbaby was in labor beginning the night of May 7, and woke me up early on the morning of the 8th. I filled the Aqua Doula, and Mimi took Brandon for the day. Around 9:00 pm, Oceanbaby's water broke, and the contractions became more intense. Oceanbaby's Doula came, and within the next hour the Midwife arrived. At 1:04 am on May 9th, our Little Mermaid came into the world. I got to cut the cord, and told her that this was the last time I was going to cut her loose. It was truly amazing. So much better than the hospital situation we had with our last child.

I took a week off work, then worked for a week, and now I'm off again for two weeks to bond with my baby, and to help out Oceanbaby.

Try walking? What!

So we officially have a number one complaint with me being pregnant and things people say. As of right now I am almost a week overdue but these comments probably started a couple days ago. So being that I am overdue people always have to make their suggestions even though they don't know me. Co-workers of Ian have started asking him if I have had the baby...first of all what the hec would he be doing at work if I have had the baby...Dur!!...so he'll politely say no she has not and they ask "Oh she should try walking to get the baby out". So of course Ian starts laughing and then explains o.k my wife works out 5 times a week doing spin classes and the stairmill..if that hasn't got her out, walking ain't nothing. O.k so after a dozen people have suggested this that don't know me Ian finally had had enough and broke down and told them that I don't have any legs so how could I walk..HA HA! People are crazy..especially women that think they know everything. O.k now that I got that out I can move on. Well we had Easter a couple weeks ago but we had Brandon's Easter egg hunt the weekend before at my mom's house. It was super cute. Brandon and Andrew got to hunt for eggs together and we just enjoyed watching them and taking pictures. It was hard to get really good pics because it was outside and dark so this is the best one I have. The boys ended up getting 3 different easter baskets each not including the baskets they had from hunting. They each got one from Auntie GiGi, my brother's girlfriend Luisa, and me. So they had a pretty good Easter. I was really excited about the basket I made for Bubba and Drew. My brothers dubbed it "the health nut basket". Each basket had a solid Dove dark chocolate bunny, a bunch of fruit leather and a vegan fruit sweetened chocolate chip cookie( one of my personal favorite..and Ian approved) plus instead of having candy in the plastic eggs for the hunt I packed them with bunny shaped organic crackers and toy cars which the boys loved. The actual weekend of Easter Kickboxer's brothers and wives were in town so we got to have dinner and hang out with the fam. Brad and Mo are coming back into town tomorrow. The other pics are of Brandon and a day at the park blowing bubbles, Brandon the model striking a pose (he is way too handsome) and a video of Bubba and what happens when you give him sugar. He absolutley loves ice cream. Its the only junk food that I give to him every once in a while as a huge treat. The problem is being pregnant I looooove ice cream too so he has been around it a little more often than normal. This video is of his sneaking a lick here and there and going crazy from his sugar high. Well that's all for now.

Our baby girl!

Here's the pic that I promised to post of our beautiful baby girl. Isn't she cute?! Ian thinks she looks like me. In this pic she does but the others she looks a lot like Brandon. So we'll see when she's here. She sure is a little stinkerton sometimes. She only likes to move like a crazy alien baby for me. The second I tell anyone else to look she stops. She of course loves when her Daddy talks to her and rubs my belly. That relaxs her more than anything. Its probably because she knows she has the radest Daddy ever. Speaking of Daddy...its his birthday today. I think he is turning 30. Yeah right! He would be having a meltdown right about now. I think it is hilarious when people think 30 is old. Hint hint..(Ian). Anyway he's turning 28 years old and he doesn't look a day over 14. Just kidding! He really doesn't seem to age though. He'll be handsome and young forever and I'll be old and wrinkelly..no prob. Well the video is of Brandon at California Adventures waiting in line for the Playhouse Disney puppet show singing and dancing along to "Don't be shy just move your body" by Choo Choo Soul. And the picture is what I have titled Brandon Zoolander because Brandon just feels like he is really really really ridiculously good looking. Also last week Brandon really wanted to make his daddy something that would show his appreciation for all of Daddy's hard work and to keep Daddy motivated when he is having a sucky day at work. So he made him an awesome picture frame that he painted and personalize for Daddy. Well that's pretty much it for now. About a week and a half before Kai Lily's due date so we'll keep you posted.
