Buggie is in love

Yes, my daughter has found her soul mate. It is none other than the great Rich Franklin. Well, the toy version of him anyway. Lilybug is now 9 months and is doing so many new and interesting things. Other than playing with video games and Rich Franklin, she has recently discovered to clap whenever she is happy (especially when Elmo is on) and she is starting to pull herself up to stand.

This past weekend we had Drew Drew visiting which is always a blast. It's always fun to watch Drew Drew and Bubba play together. They did the usual...running around the house a million times, watching Batman, pretending Drew Drew is Batman and Bubba is Spiderman. And we can't forget Drew Drew demanding that Grandma make brownies for him and Bubba demanding that she make banana bread. I also got to teach Drew to make a lot of funny faces and how to make a taco tongue. He is too fun. I miss him already:(

My brother Moey had his last wrestling tournament on Saturday. My other brothers, Sconi, Kickboxer, the babies, and myself went to see him compete. We missed his first match which he had won and it placed him in the finals. So after a couple hours of waiting we finally got to see him wrestle. The match that we saw he ended up losing but I still think he won it. Stupid ref. Anyway, he did amazing but he was very disappointed because he got 2nd place for his weight class. But he's awesome! I mean, come on, 2nd place! Well while we were waiting the boys and I had to take advantage of the music that was playing and have ourselves a little dance.

One thing I was finally able to get started was make Lilybugs baby food. I forgot how fun it was! I could do without having to clean up my mess though. Oh well! This week I made her apple bluberries, sweet potatoes and apples, pears and my favorite oatmeal pear cinnamon. I had a taste and it made me think why don't I ever put pears in my oatmeal? Delicous! I think tomorrow we'll try banana avocado yogurt. I let you know how it goes!
Another thing we discovered it that our little girl is definatley a fight fan. Here she is watching UFC cheering Demian Maia on. She makes us so proud! Especially Daddy. And I have to warn you, for some reason I video taped it sideways so try not to hurt your neck while viewing this.

Caught in the act!

One of Lilybug's favorite things to do is play video games...or at least try to. She loves to pull our Super Nintendo off of the entertainment center by yanking on the controller wires. Here she is caught in the act of once again trying to sneak and play Mario Brothers.

Here is a pic of Bubba doing his famous pirate face. You should feel lucky...most people have to pay for this.

Recently Kickboxer's brother came to visit. Here's a pic of the babies hanging out with each other.

Here is another day of Bubba hanging out with his twin.

This video we have posted is hilarious! It looks like a crime scene. We had just got done running some errands and the munchkins were pooped!

Lilybug is crawling! Well....kinda

Yup our little darling is moving around on her own. Exciting? Yes but she is crazy. What's awesome is she doesn't quite do the traditional crawl..she does more of a propelling motion to get around. But that does fit her personality..she doesn't have time for her arms and legs to move as fast as she wants them to. Here is a video of her and also if you listen carefully you can here the sweet sound of my hubby singing "I'm so excited" towards the end of the vid. I don't think he knew that I was taping but I"m sure glad we captured it on video. Lilybug also got her first tooth a little over a month ago. A couple weeks ago we attempted to give Bubba a mohawk and we kinda botched it so we decided to shave it all off but not before taking some pictures! He was having a fit when we were giving it to him so in the pics he ended up looking like a punker on drugs or having withdrawals or something. Brandon is a punk rocker..Brandon is a punk rocker..Brandon is a punk rocker now!!!!

Christmas Day!!!! Yippee!!!

I love Christmas!!! So much so that I kinda appreciate the ghetto people that keep their lights up all year so I continuously feel the Christmas spirit :) Well here's our Christmas pics. Bubba decided he wanted to cuddle with Mama Christmas morning which was the best gift I could have ever gotten. Here is also a pic with my fav gift from my old man..thanks Kickboxer..you're the best! And the one with Lilybug and her toy is her gift from her Auntie Gigi...her Aunt is trying to influence her early with her girliness. Well she has to get it from somewhere..thanks Auntie Gigi.

Christmas Eve

Well as per tradition we went to Mimi and Papa's for Christmas Eve. Then we had our own family tradition Christmas morning from Santa and then went to my parents Christmas day. We had a great Christmas being around lots of family with lots of love. Lilybug enjoyed just being allowed to tear up the wrapping paper and Bubba enjoyed the actual act of opening his gifts to see what he got. One of my favorite gifts was a Cutco garlic press from Mimi and Papa. Sweetness! We have so many cute pics I have to make separate posts for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Here is also a pic of Lilybug hanging up her ornament.

Some more aquarium pics

Here is a couple other pics of the aquarium including a beautiful smiling ray and more Palau pics.

Aquarium of the Pacific

For Bubba's birthday we decided to have a low key birthday party and put the money into taking him to the aquarium in Long Beach. Well, we got even luckier because Mimi and Papa decided to treat Bubba and us and pay for the trip. Thanks Mimi and Papa! The trip was awesome! Before we went I was hoping to see the sea horses and sea turtles and I got what I hoped for. Bubba was amazed the second we stepped in. Right away we saw this wall of fish from Palau! That's one of the reasons I have always wanted to go. Well, we thought that was it but it wasn't. Later on when we were looking for the sea turtles and we found a whole hallway dedicated Palau. It was amazing! It was so weird to even see the word Palau and the plaques let alone the Rock Island aquarium! Bubba also got to pet a shark which he loved. One other cool thing that we saw at the aquarium was the sea dragons. So flippin cool! If you didn't know what was in there they could have easily passed as seaweed. They were beautiful. Here are some pics I hope you enjoy them.
