Trying to catch up!

Yeah I know we haven't posted in awhile. So here goes with all the new happenings. We got our 4D ultrasound and guess what she is still a girl! And she's beautiful but we already knew that. I'll try to post a couple of those pics as soon as I can. A couple weeks ago a taught a class for Enrichment night on the Miracle of Movement. It was a blast. We got to eat really good wholesome foods courtesy of Beth Davis. Salads, soups and homemade bread made by Jeannie Dunn. Yummy to the tummy! Then a good friend of Jeannie's gave a talk about nutrition and how important it is. Then it was my turn to tell the ladies the importance of exercise and just getting our bodies off the freaking couch. O.k but in nicer words. I also got to demonstrate strength training exercises and stretches for them and I had the ladies come up and try them out as well. Seemed like everyone enjoyed it. O.k let me think what else...we went to Disneyland a couple weeks ago. There was a little problem in the beginning with our tickets because some of them could only be used on certain days so my mom had to pay the difference..a big difference..but she also got 6 free tickets for California Adventures which we are supposed to be going this weekend with my brothers. So after that we had a fun filled day watching Bubba and Andrew have the time of there lives. Bubba got to meet Chip and Dale, Goofy, Pluto, and the highlight of the day...Mickey Mouse. That was a big dream come true for us because I have been waiting my whole life to take my baby to Disneyland. Alright so besides all of that Brandon got a pet goldfish named Frank and my sisters managed to throw me a surprise baby shower. I was probably in shock for 2 hours but I had a great time and I got lots of cute clothes for my baby girl. I probably look through her closet every day. So I think that is about it for now. I'm 8 1/2 months preggers so I'm getting close. Yea!

Weekend in Ventura

We've had quite a busy couple weeks so we'll do our best to catch up. With all the sadness of this week I felt like Bubba and I needed a little get away. So the boys and I went to Ventura to visit Josh and Jess and of course to get close to the ocean. Friday we went to the Marina where they have a park, ship and a zip line. And there was hardly anyone there so it was even nicer. Bubba got his feet in the water a couple times but we kept him out after that because the water was freezing and he had a little cold. As for me I have a rule that when I get to go to the beach I have to at least jump in the ocean for a little swim no matter how cold it is. Its not every day I get to swim in the ocean and I love it too much not to do it. So I let my feet test it out for about ten minutes and my feet were still not used to it. I eventually got too restless and just dived in. My brother saw me do it from the beach and yelled that I was crazy but since I did it he had to do it. Thats why I love Asa! He always knows how to have fun. Our bodies were starting to numb so we got out but its always worth it. One of the pics is right after we got out of the water..we look cool but we're really saying burrrrrrrrrrrrrr. The zip line was a blast but a little slow at first so that explains the funny look on my face. Bubba reminds me more and more of his Uncle Moey. Here's a pic of Bubba getting tickled by Uncle Moey. We'll post our Christmas post as soon as we can. Summer's funeral is this next weekend so its gonna be a pretty busy week.

Brandon's First Snow Day!

Yes, I said it. A snow day in Lancaster. And not just a little bit of snow, we got dumped on! We can only post so many pics so the ones we posted are of when it was just snowing for a few hours. If you come visit us then maybe we'll show you the other pics or maybe we'll just post them later. Anyway, Bubba loved the snow. He kept saying "SNOW!" over and over and trying to catch some in his mouth( I taught him that). If it was up to him he would of been outside all day. I kept him out as long as I could but trying to avoid getting him sick I had to bring him inside eventually. Well as you can imagine he had a cow. So later on we went outside and we built a snowman. Well snow/mudd man. We had tons of fun and it made me feel homesick for Mammoth but thankful that we got snow for the Christmas season and for my little Bubba.

We haven't posted since May? Wow.

So there has been a lot going on recently, maybe that is why we have been too busy to blog on here. We finally were able to buy a house! We love it. It will take a lot of time to finish fixing it up of course. We've been in the house for over a month now, and I only have the kitchen painted. It's not even done yet because we have high ceilings and I can't reach the very corner yet. But what is done looks good.

We've been able to have family visit a couple of times, and it was nice for them to have their own room. Oceanbaby's cousins and brothers came over last weekend, and we all figured it would be fun to do some grappling and kick boxing. Well...it was fun, but a week later I still feel it. My ankle is swollen up and bruised really badly, but it was worth it.

I started training at a gym called "Knuckle Up" yesterday. They teach Kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu, and MMA classes. I can't move my left leg today because all I did for an hour straight is drill takedowns. It was a great workout and can't wait to go back.

Oceanbaby and I got a dog, had him for a couple weeks, and then sold him. He was a 10 month old Golden Retreiver. He was sweet and all, but tore up the back yard, ripped wires out of the sprinkler system, and destroyed our hose. He usually was great with our son, but would get to excited and started knocking him over, so we decided we didn't have time to train him, and sold him to someone who will be a great owner for him.

I will post pictures of the house as we fix it up....so don't hold your breath.

Continued from last blog

We also went to my brother Asa's baccaloriate. I probably completley destoyed the spelling of that word but oh well. It's a ceremony his church has every year to honor the high school graduates. You can tell Brandon is so thrilled to take this picture. Also here is a video of Jelly Belly in his new shoes for the first time. He does look a little bit like a mini woodsman. In this video he reminds me of Forrest Gump in his "special shoes". The other pic is just Bubba and Daddio hanging out at the park trying to climb fences again.

Just had to add a few things to our blog. Last weekend we went to the beach with my brothers, sis, and my nephew. Kickboxer didn't get to go because he had to go back to work. La-loser. Just kidding. Anyway, we had a blast.

The Offer Was Made...

So a few things happened within the last three weeks that are worth blogging about. Three weeks ago we went to a local fight promotion called Chaos In The Cage. It was here at our local fairgrounds. No one I knew was fighting, but they had a special guest named Joe Stevenson. He is a UFC fighter. So we went to meet him and check out some of the local talent. I wasn't too impressed for the most part. A couple of the fighters were pretty good though. Joe Stevenson was really awesome and we were able to get a picture taken with him. We also met Herb Dean and Larry Landless who are two officials that ref for the UFC. Overall it was a really good time.

I've been able to do some more grappling and sparring recently. At Muay Thai on Friday I sparred a guy for three rounds. He told me he hadn't sparred in a few months so I told him we'd take it really easy. That was the plan anyway. Then one of the boxing coaches and Pan (my Kru), came to watch and were egging us on. So the guy popped me square in the face. It was a nice shot, but didn't hurt too much. So I decided to turn it up as well. So it started escalating of course. I started jabbing the guy out and hit him with a couple of hooks. Then I started hitting some leg kicks and knocked the guy down a couple of times. It was fun!

Oceanbaby got a pink 8GB ipod nano this week. We have been converting all of our music to itunes and getting tons of music put on there. She is really excited because we can buy an arm band for her so that it is easy to use at the gym. Her most recent MP3 player did not have an arm band or anything like that, so it made it hard to carry around. We are also planning on getting a stereo in the jeep that she can plug the ipod into so we can eliminate the giant CD case.

And lastly, we put an offer on a house! We love this place and we could afford it too! We are hoping they accept our offer and that everything can go through. This house has been in and out of escrow with other buyers and we have had our eyes on it for a while. It fell out of escrow again, so we jumped on it and made an offer. Se we are keeping our fingers crossed. We'll keep you updated!
