Go Doyers!!!

Yes yes yes!!! I finally got to go to a Dodgers game! And I got to say it was better than I had ever imagined. Just being there at Dodgers stadium in person was awesome. And the Dodgers did not disappoint. They had 3 runs in the first inning so they were off to a get start. Then second inning Andre Ethier hit a grand slam! Ahh! What an amazing game! The stinkin' Giants almost caught up in the ninth inning but the Dodgers still got the win 10-8. Sorry to all of you that aren't baseball fans but I just had to tell you how great the game was.

Here's me when we first got there. Doing a little jig out of pure happiness.

Goofy face time....Goooo!

We went with a couple of friends which was great cause they are huge fans also.

And Kickboxer enjoyed it a lot more than he thought he would. So hopefully we can go again this season and hopefully one day we are able to get season tickets but thats just wishful thinking. And true to my promise I did take a bite of a Dodger dog.

I'll admit the sports fan in me was hoping I would at least be able to tolerate it but it was every bit as nasty as I ever remembered a hot dog being. Ick!!

Ending the night with a smooch! AWWW!

I had such an awesome time and I hope we can go again very very soon. I got to say that my dreams came true that night. I finally got to go with my sweetheart to a Dodgers game. Best date night ever! Can't wait for football season and I know Kickboxer can't either. GOOOO BLUE!!!!!!

Happy Easter!

Easter was great! We got to spend it with both our family's so we couldn't have been happier. We had an Easter egg hunt for the babies in the morning. Then we enjoyed General Conference in our jammies. Then we went over to Mimi and Papa's for some grub. Mimi normally makes a bunny cake but this year she decided to try bunny cupcakes which were delicous!

Then we headed over to my parents and ate some more! Here is our beautiful baby hamming it up on Easter.

Take a picture

A couple weeks ago Bubba was making a lot of funny faces then when he captured his favorite one he said "Mama, take a picture." So we did.

We also recently got this really cool double stroller on Craigslist for a really good price. The babies seem to enjoy it a lot. Now it makes our family walks much easier.

We also got to visit with Sabrina a couple weeks ago.

And here is a pic of Mama and Kai Kai after church. Isn't my island girl too cute?!

And here is Daddy and Lilybug at Charlie Browns.

Jewish Bubba and Yoda Bubba

Here is our little boy sporting a couple new looks. His Jewish look and his Yoda look. Hopefully this will be the last time that he will be acting like Yoda but probably not.

Playing in the park

Alright, this is going to be fairly short because our little Lilybug isn't feeling so hot. A couple weeks ago we decided to take a walk to our park and play ball. Well it was mostly Daddy and Bubba playing being that Buggie can't really keep up yet being that she isn't quite walking (don't tell her that she'll probably punch you). Well this pic of her explains her attitude very well that afternoon. She was really excited to go to the park but when she realized that only Daddy and Bubba got to play ball she wasn't too happy about that. But we still had a great time. Well gotta go! We get the wonderful pleasure of having dinner with the Dunns tonight. Yippee!

Valentine's Day with my sweethearts

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Hope yours was as wonderful as ours. We did most of our celebrating on Saturday. We went and got to have a date night, shout out to Mimi and Papa and Uncle Zachy for babysitting! We got some Subway for lunch and went to see a movie. On the way home we also went to the west side Walmart, BIG mistake. We always regret going there and afterwards we always want to move out of town immediatley! I swear, all the wierdos and crazies gather at that Walmart. Anyway, we made it back home safely. Here's some sweet pics of our Valentine's weekend together. These also include Kickboxer's gift to me for Valentine's, the movie Whip it and the most awesome kick butt Social Distortion shirt ever! But one of the best gifts I've ever gotten from Kickboxer was a little dance he arranged for us to one of my favorite songs. That's better than roses anyday! I love my hubbster! How great is it that I'm married to my best buddy.

Here is my Valentine's from Bubba. So sweet! Daddy helped.

Here is Lilybug after getting attacked by the Valentine's Day monster!

Earlier this week I made this black bean turkey chilli for dinner and the recipe called for jalepenos. Well I've never cooked with fresh jalepenos before or been around anyone that has. Let's just say no one has ever warned me about how to deal with jalepenos when preparing them for a recipe. So here I am happily preparing dinner for the hubbs, wearing no gloves my nose started to itch so naturally I scratched it. Five minutes later my nose started to tingle...ten minutes later my nose, inside and out, and my mouth were on fire! So I googled what to do to stop the burning. I had an instinct to use milk and I was right. So I stuck my nose and mouth in a bowl of milk and it seemed to help a little until I took them out. Well I read another tip to try to use shampoo because it will help remove the oils. That worked like a charm. I just had to keep scrubbing my hands every half hour. So the moral of this story is (for me anyway) to wear gloves when handling jalepenos!! Holy moly, what an adventure! Anyway, the chilli turned out delicous! And Kickboxer loved it and that's saying a lot! This was a healthy low sugar, low sodium, high protein, low fat yummy to the tummy chilli. I also made a side of baked whole grain torillas. The picture doesn't really do it justice so I didn't include it. Maybe later.

Well in Lilybug news, she has been crawling around like crazy and man is she fast. And she also has her two front top and bottom teeth in. As we mentioned in the last blog she is pulling herself up to stand. Here she is holding herself up on my step having a good time.

Buggie is in love

Yes, my daughter has found her soul mate. It is none other than the great Rich Franklin. Well, the toy version of him anyway. Lilybug is now 9 months and is doing so many new and interesting things. Other than playing with video games and Rich Franklin, she has recently discovered to clap whenever she is happy (especially when Elmo is on) and she is starting to pull herself up to stand.

This past weekend we had Drew Drew visiting which is always a blast. It's always fun to watch Drew Drew and Bubba play together. They did the usual...running around the house a million times, watching Batman, pretending Drew Drew is Batman and Bubba is Spiderman. And we can't forget Drew Drew demanding that Grandma make brownies for him and Bubba demanding that she make banana bread. I also got to teach Drew to make a lot of funny faces and how to make a taco tongue. He is too fun. I miss him already:(

My brother Moey had his last wrestling tournament on Saturday. My other brothers, Sconi, Kickboxer, the babies, and myself went to see him compete. We missed his first match which he had won and it placed him in the finals. So after a couple hours of waiting we finally got to see him wrestle. The match that we saw he ended up losing but I still think he won it. Stupid ref. Anyway, he did amazing but he was very disappointed because he got 2nd place for his weight class. But he's awesome! I mean, come on, 2nd place! Well while we were waiting the boys and I had to take advantage of the music that was playing and have ourselves a little dance.

One thing I was finally able to get started was make Lilybugs baby food. I forgot how fun it was! I could do without having to clean up my mess though. Oh well! This week I made her apple bluberries, sweet potatoes and apples, pears and my favorite oatmeal pear cinnamon. I had a taste and it made me think why don't I ever put pears in my oatmeal? Delicous! I think tomorrow we'll try banana avocado yogurt. I let you know how it goes!
Another thing we discovered it that our little girl is definatley a fight fan. Here she is watching UFC cheering Demian Maia on. She makes us so proud! Especially Daddy. And I have to warn you, for some reason I video taped it sideways so try not to hurt your neck while viewing this.
