Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was amazing! For one, we are super blessed to be able to spend holidays with both families and for that we are incredibly thankful. As much as I would love to live in Mammoth or by the ocean I cannot live far away from my family, especially my husbands parents. Every moment we get to spend with them is precious and I would not give that up for anything. They are AWESOME! We started off Thanksgiving at my parents house. We of course did the traditional football watching and stuffing our faces with crazy good food. I don't think I've seen a human being eat more than our Olu. He always eats a lot but I think he was trying to break a record on Thanksgiving. He had 4 eggrolls and he only stopped at 4 because I cut him off.
After my parents we headed over to Ian's parents for the rest of the day.
What a wonderful holiday! Now to get ready for the Christmas season...YAHOO!!

Brandon's 6th birthday

Our big boy Brandon has turned 6! We had a party to celebrate and Brandon wanted a Captain America theme. This was the first time that I made a cake from scratch and it was super yummy. My mom told me so and if she says it's good...it's good :)
Bubba got a boatload of rad gifts!
And to top it off, a wrestling match with Uncle Moey was a must!

Fall Fun

Before Halloween we had Drew Drew over for a weekend so Daddy offered to hold down the fort with Olu and I took Drew, Brandon, and Kai to the pumpkin patch.
They all got to pick out their own pumpkin and also pick one ride. The boys wanted to go on the obstacle course and Lily wanted to go on the bouncy house. She was allowed to be on there for a maximum of 15 min and she was bouncing every min of that 15.
They all picked the kind of face they wanted for their pumpkins. After carving them, I had them each do their best impression of their pumpkins.
They nailed it.
And in case you had a bad day and happen to look at our blog, these pictures of my Pops as Mario with his pal Luigi will cheer you up.

Happy Halloween!!!

Halloween, being one of my favorite holidays is always great and this year was no different.
We made and decorated cupcakes. I think more frosting ended up in Bubba's tummy then on the cupcakes.
This is our sweet Dorothy.
And here is our scary zombie Dorothy.
Here we have Bane and Captain America!
And here we have Steve and Blue! Daddy was Johnny Cash but sadly we have no pics.

Perfect day

Yesterday I got to go surfing and let's just say it was the perfect day!!! I can't do it any justice trying to explain my experience so I won't even try. All I will say is it was one of the best days of my life. And I was overcome by emotions and feeling Heavenly Father's love for me. Sometimes I feel like the ocean was made just for me. I'll forever be thankful for this beautiful earth he created for us.

LTJ SHOW!!!

Anybody that knows my husband and I knows that LTJ is our band. They've been my baby's favorite band for 15 some years and mine for the last 7. They've been the soundtrack to our lives. They are the radest band ever!!! Not only does their music sound like they are singing directly to us or for us but when we see them live it's unlike any other show. They pour every ounce of energy out just to get you to dance and sing and have a good time. Whenever we get to see them, they always make us feel special by the interaction they give. There are so many great memories we have going to their shows but this last show topped them all. After one of the songs they performed, everything got quiet and it was like a dream, Roger looked at me and reached out his arm and directly handed me a bass pick and smiled at me. I think I stood there staring at him for like 30 secs because I couldn't believe it was happening and said thank you. I still have to pinch myself. Friggin' coolest moment! This is before the show....
After the show...
Bearded mountain man kisses...my favorite:)

Beautiful keikis

I think the title says it all. We could not have been blessed with more beautiful, sweet babies.
Kai Lily is naturally gifted to hula dance and I think she has been practicing since birth! My Auntie Edie made this gorgeous pa'u shirt to help even more with her practice and to prepare her to take hula classes in May. Yeah, she's pumped.

Summer fun

I know we're hittin' fall already but here's some of what we've been up to this summer. We of course got some Dodger baseball in.
Isn't my Ian..wait wait wait..I'm searching for the perfect word....SCRUMPSHOOLESCENT! Really though, isn't his beard divine. Sorry I got distracted for a moment. Back to blogging.
These are our good friends Sol and Shmave. They are pure radness. Seriously, so fun.
Speaking of fun. Here we are just enjoying the gift of the goof.
View of the gorgeous surrounding mountains.
And Friday Night Fireworks:)
And one of the best times ever this summer was getting to surf again for my birthday. It's been way too long so I wanted to get a lesson again to get the most out of it. My instructor was awesome! As always I keep dreaming about the next time I'll get to go out:)
