Lilybug's family birthday party

The weekend of her birthday we had Mimi and Papa come over to sing to Lily for her birthday and to eat some strawberry cake. The cake Lily had specifically requested, mostly because she loves Strawberry Shortcake. So I was determined to make the best strawberry cake any little girl could ever have for her birthday. And I think I did it! The cake was ridiculously delicious. To give you an idea it was made with real strawberries, strawberry cream cheese and the frosting was made with more cream cheese and white chocolate. So GOOD!!!
Showing her tough girl face while enjoying her birthday cake.
Giving her mama some love:)
Getting ready to open her gifts.
Hahaha!!! This picture is great. I was making her laugh somehow by making crazy noises. Another reason I love my girl.
Awesome Mimi and Papa!
Daniel's present from Mimi and Papa.
And Bubba's.
Most of the time I feel like I'm Daniel's favorite person except when Daniel can sense that his Papa is near then I'm yesterday's news. With my mama ego aside:) I absolutely love to see him with his Papa. He lights up everytime. It's like magic. If you want to see him instantly happy you need to either sing him your best version of Blue Moon or provide his Papa. I love it.
You always have to have funny face time with a birthday party.
Happy 3rd Birthday sweet Lilybug!!! We love you toots!

Our little mermaid turns 3

Our Lilybug is now a year older and I don't know how time has passed so quickly but it has. We are so blessed to have Lily as our baby girl. She's got so much love for us and she makes all of us feel so special. She has such a big heart and she's the best cuddle buggie and her hugs and kisses are to die for. She is the perfect mix of tough and girly and being the tomboy that I am I appreciate it all. She even makes girly stuff interesting and worthwhile for me because it's her and she is what makes everything special. I would rather be with her than any other girl on the planet. One trait that most of the time drives me crazy about her is that she is very emotional. And I mean VERY emotional. She can and will cry at the drop of a hat. It nuts! Makes me wonder what it will be like when she hits teenage-hood. But its what makes her Lily and we love it! On the day of her birthday she opened most of her presents from us and here's the fun...
Per tradition, all the kids get one gift with every birthday. Bubba got a Cars 2 bike.
And Dudu got a Jake and the Neverland Pirates with Peter Pan DVD. Which they all love and were excited about.
For the Lily birthday present finale she got a Strawberry Shortcake bike! She adores it and is starting to ride it pretty good. In no time she be instructing Spin classes with Mama!
I LOVE this photo! Daddy and Bubba helping her along her first time on her new bike. Sweetness!

Easter hunting:)
As usual because we are so blessed to live close to Mimi and Papa we got to enjoy Easter dinner with them. I'm always stoked to see Mimi decapitate the bunny cake but the kids were very excited about it. In fact Bubba and Lily kept talking about it for days afterward and saying "There can only be one!!!" Hahahaha! I love my kids.
Sweet Kai Kai bunny kisses.
This is Bubba playing dead with his favorite toy he got from the Easter bunny, his glow in the dark mini sword.
